Texas bar Poker Guidelines
Two sessions are offered for consolidation tournament style No-Limit Texas Hold'em (per establishment)- Players may sign up 60 mins before each game
- Games usually start between 6:00-8:30pm ; 9:30-11:30pm - see location schedules: Texas Locations
- Games last 2:00-3:30hrs
- There is absolutely no cost involved to participate in the game
- Totally legal, no exchange of money equals no gambling
- This is a tournament, not gambling
- Prizes won will be handed out by the organizers based on event sponsorship
Each player will receive 13,000 units in play chips non-exchangeable for value (19 chips total)
(5) - 100 units (5) - 500 units (10) - 1000 units
Traditional No-Limit Texas Hold'em will be played. (TFPL amended rules apply - see official Texas rules)
At the start of the game, once seated, each player will draw from the deck simultaneously to assign the initial dealer. (Highest card deals)
Blinds are determined by the size of the event. They will be increase by standard increments approximately every 12-20 mins.
Once a player is eliminated (runs out of chips) they are not allowed to buy in or reenter until the next game begins. Players will however be allowed to signup for the next game, 90mins prior to the game beginning.
Players will periodically be moved from their table to fill in the spots at tables where others have been eliminated (the goal is to keep the tables full and eliminate the chance of cheating/ gambling).
When chips units are no longer required in order to post blinds, the smaller unit chips will be cashed in for chips of higher denominations. At this time, if play is stopped players may leave their chips at the table and proceed to take a brief recess.
After a brief recess, players must return immediately to their tables in order to resume play. Failure to do so, results in the returning player posting chips for reentry to the game.
Players are eliminated from the game throughout the night and the number of tables will eventually shrink and consolidate to one final table.
Once the final table is reached, a solo dealer (non-player) will come in and continue dealing until one player is in possession of all the chips in play.
Base Points will be rewarded to the top 16 players at the final table. Qualifying players will sign the tournament results list and note which place they finished. Points can be tracked online.
