I recently got 2nd at the Nebraska State Tournament and my prize was a two-day WPT Boot camp.  The boot camp that I attended was the one in Commerce, CA, at the beautiful Commerce Casino, home of the world’s largest poker room.  The main speaker was Mark Seif and then there was Crispin and Jules Leyser, Nick Brochato, and Rick Fuller.  The boot camp that I attended was a cash game boot camp, where the main focus was on playing cash games, not tournaments.  I learned an incredible amount of information by attending this boot camp.  The atmosphere was great, the food was incredible, and the poker pros extremely nice.  They were all more than happy to take photos and to sign stuff.  At the camp there was a good amount of lecture, then we would do some live labs where the dealer was one of the poker pros, and finally we had a cash game challenge.  In the cash game challenge, everyone attending the boot camp played the same 30 hands on a computer program and the top 6 players won a nice set of headphones or a WPT jersey.  Then the next day the top 6 played the same 40 hands (different hands from the 30, but the same for all 6 players) and the top player won a trip to the Bahamas.  I got 5th on the first day and 4th on the second day.  Overall all I rated the experience an A+ because the whole thing was a wonderful time.  Finally I would like to thank Got The Nuts, LLC, and the WPT boot camp for allowing me to participate in such a wonderful experience.
